The trademark applicant submits the trademark application documents to the Finnish Patent Office, and the trademark registrar will examine the trademark application documents to see whether the documents are complete, whether the trademark can be registered and whether it conflicts with the previously registered trademark. If there is a problem with the document, the Registrar will notify the applicant in writing. If the applicant fails to modify the existing problems within the prescribed time limit, it shall be deemed as giving up the trademark. If there is no problem with the document, it will be published in the official trademark announcement of Finland. Within 2 months of the trademark announcement period, anyone can raise an objection to the trademark document. A trademark that has been ruled against or a trademark that has no objection during the announcement period shall be approved for registration and a trademark registration certificate shall be issued.
