Yongding red persimmon was gradually domesticated and cultivated by persimmon farmers in Yongding County for more than 500 years. The planting bases are mainly located in eight towns in Jinfeng: Guzhu, Gaotou, Hukeng, Daxi, Chendong, Qiling, Xiayang and Hushan, with a planting scale of more than 80,000 acres. A single fruit of Yongding tomatoes weighs 150 grams to 200 grams, is oblate in shape, has few or no seeds; the appearance of the fruit is bright red, the flesh is tender and the juice is thick and sweet like stuffing, and it is sweet and refreshing. A series of products such as persimmon cakes, persimmon wine, persimmon preserves, and persimmon sauce have been successfully developed.
In the past few years, in order to make "production, processing and circulation" go hand in hand, Yongding County has focused on creating famous and high-quality tomatoes brands, increasing the commercialization rate and added value of tomatoes, and promoting persimmon farmers to increase production and income. Yongding County has formulated the "Yongding Tomato Green Food Planting Operation Regulations" and other regulations, and has implemented them effectively. At present, Yongding tomatoes have obtained the right to use the "Green Food" mark and are the only persimmon products in Fujian Province that have obtained this mark. In the past few years, through the application of green food standardized cultivation technology, the quality and safety of Yongding tomato products have been ensured, and the yield and high-quality fruit rate have been increased. The mature tomatoes are large, bright in color and sweet in taste.
In 2014, the "Yongding Tomato" applied by the Yongding County Tomato Professional and Technical Association passed the review of the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and organized expert review, and implemented the national agricultural product geographical indication registration protection.

Product quality characteristics
