China Tobacco Company is a cigarette brand founded in 1951. In 1952, China Tobacco Company was merged into Shanghai Tobacco Company. For more than 20 years, Zhonghua cigarettes were only used as special cigarettes for national leaders and as state gifts for entertaining foreign friends.

The birth process of Zhonghua Cigarettes
After the birth of New China, the matter of producing its own best cigarette brand was also put on the agenda. As the birthplace of the cigarette industry, Shanghai naturally has to shoulder this responsibility. In 1950, the state-owned China Tobacco Company accepted the development of "China Brand" cigarettes. After the sample cigarettes were made, they were sent to Beijing for evaluation by Mao Zedong and other central leaders. After the central leaders reviewed the cigarettes, they spoke highly of the sample cigarettes.
The name of the company that developed the cigarettes is China Tobacco Company, so the brand also fits its name, and is specially named "China". On the front of the trademark is the Tiananmen Rostrum, with a deep red bottom and five golden five-pointed stars. There are two large Chinese watches on both sides, connected by a golden water bridge below. There are five large characters "Zhonghua Brand Cigarettes" printed in the middle of the upper part, and on the back there is a base.
