Guizhou’s tea planting area ranks first in the country. Why is there no tea brand?

Guizhou has the most beautiful landscapes in China, but its tourism popularity is not as good as that of Yunnan and other places; Guizhou has the best tea in China, but its brand awareness is not as good as that of Fujian and other places; Guizhou has the largest tea planting area in China, but there are not many A well-known brand. Why? Why? Why?

Let me answer this question. Guizhou tea is the best in my opinion, not only of high quality, but also of unique flavor. Guizhou's tea planting area reaches 7.5 million acres, ranking first in the country. Among the 88 counties and cities in Guizhou, 68 counties and cities grow tea, almost to the extent that every county and city grows tea. It can be seen that Guizhou people like to grow and drink tea, and Guizhou tea is also very popular. The market welcomes it. So, why are there so few famous big brands? In a word, late start!

Guizhou’s tea is not as well-known as Fujian, Zhejiang and other places. Even the tourism in Guizhou, which has the most beautiful mountains and rivers, is not as good as Yunnan and Sichuan. The time for external publicity was late, the start was late, and the good reputation was preemptively occupied by other provinces. Yes, if you want to take back the position that should belong to you, it requires a process and a certain amount of time to complete. I believe that as time goes by, Guizhou tea will become famous all over the country and around the world.

Furthermore, due to traffic congestion, Guizhou tea used to be mainly handmade and was at a disadvantage in the competition of modern operations. The low efficiency of Guizhou tea was lagging behind in competition with tea from across the country, especially from coastal areas. It was not until the 1990s that things gradually improved, and it started many years later than they did. As a rising star, Guizhou Tea has been catching up. I believe that as time goes by, the high quality of Guizhou tea will surely nurture several well-known brands.

Duyun Maojian, Meitan Cuiya, and Zunyihong are all top tea varieties. The reason why tea merchants do not hype Guizhou tea is because some tea merchants need to obtain high-quality and low-price Guizhou tea. They pretend to be high-priced teas such as West Lake Longjing, so they don’t want Guizhou tea to be high-end or branded. Now we are working on the overall image, without deliberately building a specific brand. However, this is changing.
