1. Look at the tags. Leather clothing has different animal leathers, including goatskin, sheepskin, pigskin, horsehide, cowhide and so on. Among them, the first choice is goatskin. Goat leather feels delicate, soft and elastic, and is the most popular type of leather.
When purchasing leather clothing, be sure to check the manufacturer, trademark, specifications and other information of the leather clothing to ensure that it is a leather clothing with guaranteed quality. Don't be greedy for cheap and buy leather jackets that have no trademark or manufacturer information.
2. Touch and feel. Good leather clothing feels soft, smooth, plump and elastic to the touch. Fake leather jackets feel relatively rough.

3. Look at the elasticity. You can press a crease on a certain part of the leather jacket with your hands. If it is a good leather jacket, the crease will disappear soon. If it is a bad leather jacket, it may not be able to be restored.
4. Smell. Good-quality leather generally has no odor. All genuine leather has the smell of leather. If there is a pungent odor, it may be due to poor handling during the tanning process or the use of certain chemical raw materials that exceed the standard.
5. Look at the fabric. The surface of genuine leather has more obvious pores and patterns, while synthetic leather also imitates pores, but it is not realistic or clear. In addition, the back side of synthetic leather has a layer of textile as the base plate. This textile base plate is used to increase its tensile strength, while the back side of genuine leather does not have this layer of textile.
6. Ignite. The smell of genuine leather after being burned is similar to that of hair after being burned, and it does not form lumps after burning and can be crushed into powder with your fingers; artificial leather emits a pungent smell after burning and forms lumps after burning.
