Because the surface of the velvet fabric is the fiber section in contact with the outside world, friction on the bottom of the cloth is avoided. ②The surface of velveteen is densely covered with standing piles, so it feels soft, has good elasticity, has a soft luster, and the surface is not easy to wrinkle. ③The cloth body is thick, and the fluff on the surface can form an air layer, so it has good warmth retention. So velveteen fabric is very popular among people.
Velveteen fabrics can be divided into two categories: warp velvet and weft velvet according to the method of forming pile. Warp velvet is made by cutting the double layers of the fabric from the middle to form a single layer of fabric, which is processed by brushing and other post-processing. Weft velvet is made by cutting the weft and weft and is processed by brushing and other post-processing. Warp velvet generally has longer pile, complex weaving process and more weaving defects, but the efficiency is higher. The weaving process is simple: weft velvet has a thin texture, good feel and gloss, but the finishing process is more complicated.
