The recruitment of volunteers for the China 2010 Shanghai World Expo (EXPO 2010 Volunteer) was officially launched on May 1, 2009. Volunteers are uniformly recruited by China's 2010 Shanghai World Expo Volunteer Working Group, with a total of approximately 170,000 places. They will voluntarily provide publicity, order maintenance, information consultation, language translation, emergency rescue and other services inside and outside the World Expo site when the Shanghai World Expo is held. activities[15]. At present, the official has set up a global Internet registration website, and 72 Expo volunteer workstations in Shanghai accept registration [16].
[edit] Volunteer Logo
China's 2010 Shanghai World Expo volunteer logo consists of the Chinese character "heart", the English letter "V" and a flying peace dove with an olive branch in its mouth. The word "heart" represents the volunteers' dedication and enthusiasm, "V" is the initials of "Volunteer" in English, the dove represents Shanghai and peace, and the olive branch means sustainable development and hope. The architectural model of the World Expo Park on display at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. The Shanghai World Expo site is located between Nanpu Bridge and Lupu Bridge (including a small part of the land on the left side of Lupu Bridge), along the urban area of ??Shanghai layout on both sides of the Huangpu River. The planned land area of ??the Expo Park is 5.28 square kilometers, of which Pudong is divided into 3.93 square kilometers and Puxi is divided into 1.35 square kilometers. The fenced area (admission fee is charged) covers approximately 3.28 square kilometers. [18] The total investment reaches 30 billion yuan and the scale is about 528 hectares, making it the largest in the history of the World Expo.
[edit] Entrance
As of the end of March 2010, the Shanghai World Expo officials had never officially announced the World Expo entrance address, house number, "how to get to the World Expo" and other information. It is speculated that one of the main entrances may be at the bottom of the southern part of the Expo axis, at the Yaohua Road station of Metro Line 8. In addition, citizens can only speculate based on various news sources that the number of entrances to the World Expo will be 8 [19] or 11 [20]. The ticket sales announcements[21][22][23] and ticket samples[24] on the official website of the Shanghai World Expo do not include the entrance address or house number.
An article "How to take rail transit to see the Expo and the Shanghai Rail Transit Network is actively preparing" published on the official website of the Shanghai World Expo on January 20, 2010 mentioned that Shanghai Rail Transit has 5 stations and the entrance to the Expo site The distance is within 600 meters [25], but unfortunately, this article still does not mention the address and house number of the entrance to the park. Therefore, the address and house number of the entrance to the World Expo park are still a mystery.
The Expo Park can also be accessed via water transportation. The water pier of the Shanghai World Expo Park located in the Pudong section is about to be completed. During the World Expo, tourists can enter the park by boat from the water pier [26].
On April 6, 2010, 25 days before the opening of the Shanghai World Expo, the official website of the Shanghai World Expo published an article "Use 7 ways to check transportation service information around the clock" [27]. The article mentioned "Shanghai World Expo "Transportation Network (www.jtcx.sh.cn)" officially announced the distribution of entrances to the Expo site for the first time.
The Shanghai World Expo officially announced 9 land entrances and 4 water entrances[28]. They are:
