What is the difference between Tencel and Modal?

MODAL and TENCL are both registered trademarks of the Austrian company Lenzing.

Tencel fiber is made from a mixture of coniferous wood pulp, water and solvent amine oxide.

The raw material of MODAL fiber is produced in European shrub forests. It is made from wood slurry and then processed through a special spinning process.
