Injection pressure: 500~1000bar.

Injection speed: medium to high speed.

Chemical and physical properties:

ABS is synthesized from three chemical monomers: acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. Each monomer has different properties: acrylonitrile has high strength, thermal stability and chemical stability; butadiene has toughness and impact resistance; styrene has easy processing, high gloss and high strength. From a morphological point of view, ABS is an amorphous material. The polymerization of three monomers produces a terpolymer with two phases, one is the continuous phase of styrene-acrylonitrile, and the other is the dispersed phase of polybutadiene rubber. The characteristics of ABS mainly depend on the ratio of the three monomers and the molecular structure in the two phases. This allows for great flexibility in product design, and has resulted in hundreds of different qualities of ABS materials on the market. These different qualities of materials provide different properties, such as medium to high impact resistance, low to high smoothness and high temperature distortion properties. ABS material has super easy processability, appearance characteristics, low creep, excellent dimensional stability and high impact strength.

ASA: It is a kind of acrylonitrile (acrylonitile), styrene (styrene), acrylic rubber (acrylate) composed of acrylic rubber (acrylate) in the last century The terpolymer successfully developed in the 1970s is an impact-modified san resin.

ASA is a main product of GE Plastics, a subsidiary of General Electric in the United States. It was used as an extrusion raw material under the registered trademark of Geoly in August 2002. Promoted to China's PVC color extruded profiles market.

ASA has the following advantages:

1. ASA has good mechanical and physical properties

ASA is evolved from ABS (ABS is made from acrylonitrile) , butadiene rubber (butadiene), styrene (styrene)), which retains the excellent mechanical and physical properties of ABS as an engineering plastic.

2. Asa has strong weather resistance

If the polymer material contains double bonds, the double bonds will be easily opened by ultraviolet rays in sunlight with high energy intensity. This causes the polymer material to decompose. Asa uses acrylic rubber that does not contain unsaturated double bonds to replace the butadiene rubber that contains unsaturated double bonds in ABS. Therefore, it not only resists degradation, aging, and fading caused by ultraviolet radiation, but also resists oxidation in the atmosphere. The high temperature during processing has a strong guarantee against the decomposition or discoloration of asa, which greatly improves the anti-aging and weather resistance properties of the material. According to test results, the anti-aging performance of asa is more than 10 times that of abs.

3. asa has relatively good high temperature resistance

4. asa is an anti-static material that can reduce dust accumulation on the surface

Applications of asa Field

Since the emergence of asa, its position in a series of applications has been firmly established due to its excellent weather resistance and typical mechanical properties similar to abs:

< p>Automotive field: After long-term wind erosion, ASA will not fade into gray like specially treated anti-aging ABS (many microscopic cracks and cavitation on the surface are caused by wind erosion or water flow). Typical applications of asa are exterior mirrors, radiator grilles, tail baffles, lampshades and other external parts that are exposed to harsh conditions such as sun, rain, strong winds, etc. At present, it has gradually extended to motorcycle panels, camping cars, small boat hulls, surfboards and other fields.

Horticulture field: asa has been proven to be particularly suitable for gardening irrigation equipment and lawn cutter casings.

In the field of electronics and electrical: it is preferred for the casings of durable equipment, such as all-weather casings of sewing machines, telephones, kitchen equipment, satellite antennas, etc.

Construction field: Asa/PVC blends are used for roof siding and window materials. In this regard, foreign countries have more than 10 years of practical application experience.

In the United States, asa has been widely used in high-end bathroom and sanitary products, hot and cold water exchangers, etc. due to its good surface quality and long-lasting color stability, which shows that asa also has the ability to use cleansers and disinfectants Corrosion resistance.

PMMA

The chemical name is polymethylmethacrylate

Disadvantages: PMMA surface hardness is not high, easy to rub, low impact resistance, molding flow Poor performance, etc.

Super transparent PMMA material is mainly used for mobile phone protective screens. This product is divided into two types: with hardened coating and without hardened coating. It is characterized by excellent light transmittance, no impurities, and static electricity. Protective film, the hardness can reach more than 5-6H after surface hardening. Currently, PMMA material is particularly recommended for hardening treatment, which is called "raw board" in China.

Introduction to polycarbonate (PC):< /p>

Polycarbonate is a thermoplastic resin containing -[O-R-O-CO]-links in the main chain of the molecule. According to the ester group in the molecular structure, it can be divided into aliphatic, alicyclic and aliphatic-aromatic. Family types, of which aromatic polycarbonate is of practical value, and bisphenol A polycarbonate is the most important, with a molecular weight of usually 30,000-100,000.

Polycarbonate, the English name is Polycarbonate, or PC for short.

PC is an amorphous, odorless, non-toxic, highly transparent colorless or slightly yellow thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent physical and mechanical properties, especially excellent impact resistance, high tensile strength, flexural strength, and compressive strength; Small creep, dimensional stability; good heat resistance and low temperature resistance, stable mechanical properties, dimensional stability, electrical properties and flame retardancy in a wide temperature range, can be used at -60~120℃ It has no obvious melting point and is in a molten state at 220-230℃; due to the high rigidity of the molecular chain, the resin melt viscosity is high; the water absorption rate is small, the shrinkage rate is small, the dimensional accuracy is high, the dimensional stability is good, and the film has low air permeability ; It is a self-extinguishing material; stable to light, but not resistant to ultraviolet light, and has good weather resistance; resistant to oil, acid, strong alkali, oxidizing acids, amines, and ketones; soluble in chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatic solvents. Being in water for a long time can easily cause hydrolysis and cracking. The disadvantages are that it is prone to stress cracking due to poor fatigue resistance, poor solvent resistance, and poor wear resistance.

PC can be injection molded, extruded, molded, blow molded, thermoformed, printed, bonded, coated and machined. The most important processing method is injection molding. It must be pre-dried before molding, and the moisture content should be less than 0.02%. Trace amounts of moisture will cause the product to produce white turbidity, silver wires and bubbles when processed at high temperatures. PC has considerable forced high elastic deformation ability at room temperature. It has high impact toughness, so it can be processed by cold pressing, cold drawing, cold rolling and other cold forming processes. The molecular weight of PC for extrusion should be greater than 30,000. Gradient compression type screw should be used, the length-to-diameter ratio is 1:18~24, and the compression ratio is 1:2.5. Extrusion blow molding, injection-blow, injection-pull-blow molding can be used. High quality, highly transparent bottle. There are many types of PC alloys to improve the defects of PC such as high melt viscosity (processability) and easy stress cracking of products. PC forms alloys or mixtures with different polymers to improve material properties. Specifically, there are PC/ABS alloy, PC/ASA alloy, PC/PBT alloy, PC/PET alloy, PC/PET/elastomer mixture, PC/MBS mixture, PC/PTFE alloy, PC/ PA alloys, etc., have the performance advantages of two materials and reduce costs. For example, among PC/ABS alloys, PC mainly contributes high heat resistance, good toughness and impact strength, high strength and flame retardancy, while ABS can improve Formability, apparent quality, reduced density. The three major application fields of PC are glass assembly industry, automobile industry and electronics and electrical appliance industry, followed by industrial machinery parts, optical discs, packaging, computers and other office equipment, medical and health care, films, leisure and protective equipment, etc. PC can be used as door and window glass, and PC laminates are widely used in protective windows in banks, embassies, detention centers and public places, as well as in aircraft cabin covers, lighting equipment, industrial safety baffles and bulletproof glass. PC boards can be used to make various signs, such as gasoline pump dials, car dashboards, warehouses and open-air commercial signs, dot sliding indicators. PC resin is used in car camera systems, instrument panel systems and interior decoration systems, and is used as headlight covers. Reinforced car front and rear fenders, reflective mirror frames, door frame covers, operating lever sheaths, spoilers, PCs are used as junction boxes, sockets, plugs and bushings, gaskets, TV conversion devices, and communication under telephone line brackets Cable connectors, switch boxes, telephone switchboards, switchboard components, relay casings, PC can be used as low-load parts, used in household appliance motors, vacuum cleaners, shampooers, coffee machines, toasters, power tool handles, etc. Gears, worm gears, bushings, guides, refrigerator shelves. PC is an ideal material for optical disc storage media. PC bottles (containers) are transparent, light in weight, good in impact resistance, and resistant to certain high temperatures and washing with corrosive solutions. They are recyclable bottles (containers). PC and PC alloy can be used as computer frames, casings and auxiliary machines, and printer parts. Modified PC is resistant to high-energy radiation sterilization, steaming and baking sterilization, and can be used for blood collection specimen equipment, blood oxygenators, surgical instruments, kidney dialyzers, etc. PC can be used as helmets and hard hats, protective masks, sunglasses and sports protection. Blindfold. PC film is widely used in printing charts, medical packaging, and membrane commutators.
