Hucheng Jian pomelo belongs to the Shatian pomelo variety series. Liangping has a cultivation history of hundreds of years. In the "Liangshan County Chronicle" (Liangping County was named Liangshan County before liberation) in the 13th year of Jiaqing (1808) of the Qing Dynasty, It is recorded in the 1985 and 2005 editions of "Liangping County Chronicle" and the 2011 edition of "Liangping Yearbook". Liangping honey pomelo, which was awarded the title of "Top Ten Famous Pomelos in Chongqing" in 1998 and won the "Golden Cup Award" in the sixth national pomelo competition in 1999, was bred from the Hucheng top pomelo; and "Liangping pomelo", "Liangping red-feather native chicken", "Liangping longevity bamboo", "Liangping bamboo curtain" and "Liangping rice" enjoy the same social reputation. It is mainly distributed in seven towns in Liangping County: Hucheng Town, Yuanyi Town, Longsheng Township, Bishan Town, Pingjin Town, Jukui Town and Yinping Town. The annual cultivation area is 8,000 acres, with an output of 10,000 tons. The weight of a single fruit is 800-1300 grams. The fruit is obovate in shape, with orange-yellow skin and abundant juice. The flesh is sweet and sour, and is storage-resistant. It matures in mid-to-late November.
