Cockroaches don’t like places with light.
Cockroaches are afraid of light. During the day, cockroaches hide in dark and light-free places.
Cockroaches like to live in gaps, which means that cockroaches like to hide in gaps. Cracks that are warm, moist, and filled with food are the favorite places of cockroaches, and cockroaches generally live in such places. Therefore, the kitchen is the place with the most cockroaches. In addition, there is water in the bathroom and it is easy for cockroaches to appear if it is humid. Cockroaches are generally the most concentrated in these two places, but cockroaches can also appear in the living room, dining room, and bedroom.
Cockroaches are afraid of high temperatures. Generally, when the temperature around the stove is relatively high, there will be no cockroaches. And if the indoor temperature reaches 40°C in summer, cockroaches will die in about 4 hours. Because high temperature accelerates the metabolism of cockroaches, the result is an increase in oxygen demand. Over time, cockroaches dry out due to water loss. This is why cockroaches like to live around refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners during the hot summer months.
