How do you save money? Are you addicted to saving money?

It’s addictive. The more you save money, the more addictive it becomes. Watching the number of savings keep rising is really a sense of security. Moreover, saving money is easy and happy for a person like me who is born with low material desires. Currently, my small goal of saving 60,000 per year has been achieved. The following are some of my usual money-saving and consumption habits, which mainly include four aspects: bookkeeping, money-saving methods, basic necessities, food, clothing, housing and transportation, and shopping and skin care. 1. Accounting

Write down every expense on a daily basis, either by handwriting or using an accounting app, for easy review in the future. Many accounting software can add plug-ins to the desktop. Every time you spend money, you can click on it and record it in 30 seconds. If you accumulate too many bills, you will often not want to remember them because they are too troublesome.

It’s basically just what you need, don’t spend money casually

This is my total bill for this year and this month’s bill, which are compared in units of weeks/months/years, which is clear at a glance. Expenses increased significantly in the second half of the year, mainly due to the installation of air conditioners in June and personal expenses in July and August. These expenses were all within the plan, so it can be seen that my monthly expenses in the first half of the year were very small, which was actually done consciously. Save money for the second half of the year, save what you need to spend, and control the total expenditure for the year. This comes to the following method of saving money. 2. How to save money

It sounds a bit complicated, but in fact it is very simple and rewarding to do! That is to divide the income into three parts: savings + reserves + expenses. Save first and spend later, rather than saving whatever is left at the end of the month. The most important thing is to formulate different budgets based on your income and needs for the month, which can largely avoid frequent overspending that affects your mood to save money.

When my salary arrives at the end of the month, I usually transfer 60% to Chaochaobao (turn off the automatic payment function) or other low-risk financial management. The rest will be used as living expenses, and then used immediately for fixed expenses (next month’s rent, phone bill, water, electricity, bus card). Don’t expect this little money to earn the interest of a month’s current deposit. After excluding fixed expenses, the remaining living expenses are the disposable balance.

Next, I will subdivide it into daily necessities + food, transfer 400 to WeChat to buy groceries, and finally the salary card current account will only have money that can be used for online shopping or other needs (collectively referred to as daily necessities) use). Because the needs vary from month to month, it is impossible to estimate the budget very accurately, so in order to save more money, adjustments must be made mid-month. As follows:

I used to eat mainly outside, and I would average how much I spent every day. If you expect to spend 20 on meals a day, but you usually don’t spend money staying home on holidays, and sometimes you don’t spend 20 on meals at work, then transfer the remaining money out on the same day, so that you won’t see any leftovers at the end of the month. The rest is lavish. On the contrary, if you overspend one day, save money the next day! However, it is a little troublesome in practice but not very necessary (unless you can’t control yourself and want to force saving). Later, I summarized each week on a weekly basis to facilitate control of subsequent expenses. For example, if you overspent last week, you would not go to the supermarket or buy food next week. Are you afraid that you will not be able to get a few meals out of the refrigerator? In the same way, it is the same every month. Next month there will be a friend’s wedding/family birthday/New Year’s holiday, so it would be nice to save a little in advance.

Based on the prices in the city where I live and my personal eating habits, a diet of 400 is already harsh enough. It is impossible to have much left over every week and every month, so what needs to be constantly adjusted in the middle of the month is mainly for daily necessities. living expenses. As long as I don’t shop online, I don’t need to use the reserved current account. Sometimes I really don’t have anything to buy this month, so I will slowly transfer it to Alipay, and each time I transfer 510 yuan, it’s a bit like withdrawing money from my living expenses.” Steal" money. There used to be a bank downstairs in my company, and I would often go and withdraw 100 yuan after get off work. This is how I got the 900 yuan in my piggy bank. If it is not convenient to withdraw cash now, just transfer it to Alipay. This thing may be used as living expenses at the end of the month. If you transfer it to a place that cannot be used by default, you will save money. Don't transfer it all at once, then the living expenses will have no meaning. You will have to worry about it wherever you transfer, unless you can guarantee that you really don't need to spend a penny except for food. I call this "stolen money" a reserve fund. If you overspend in any month, take it from here first and try not to touch your savings. To be honest, I "stole" the one thousand yuan in August in this way, and I feel that this process is quite happy. 3. Food, clothing, housing and transportation

? 1. Clothing

In fact, most of us ordinary people don’t have so many needs for clothing. No matter how many clothes we buy, we will find that the ones we usually wear are still the same ones. .

The first thing to keep clothes minimal is to find your own style. When buying, you should also consider whether the existing clothes can be matched, and use layering to maximize the use of clothes.

For example, I have a round face and light complexion, which is not suitable for mature or royal style, so I buy more sweatshirts and sweaters, which can be worn outside or inside, and can be worn in spring, autumn and winter. Three seasons. For example, a thin sweatshirt with a lapel polo collar can be worn alone in spring and autumn/with a summer T-shirt underneath, and with a tight black sweater underneath in winter. The collar of the sweatshirt is unbuttoned, and a coat is worn outside. It is inappropriate to layer it like a Korean drama heroine! If you don’t like or are not suitable for sweatshirts, shirts are also a good item. Tight sweater + shirt + coat are layered. In autumn, a shirt can also be worn under a thick sweater. It also looks better when layered by using the neckline. In the winter, wear a hooded sweatshirt/thick sweater directly with a down vest (not easy to get dirty and easy to match). When it is the coldest, a good quality down jacket can be worn for many years.

So all my outerwear is a khaki vest/down jacket/black coat each in winter and a windbreaker in autumn. The inner wear is made of spring, summer and autumn clothes that can be worn outside, which are enough to cope with various occasions. Last year, I didn’t even use a down jacket. Never buy duplicate types of jackets or single-function thermal clothing. Pay attention to the color matching when buying, and the final utilization rate will be high.

?2. Food

If possible, try to cook and bring food by yourself. A small electric pot can meet most cooking needs. I will go to the supermarket after get off work, once a week or once every half month is enough. There are discounted dishes in supermarkets every day, and they don’t necessarily have to go bad soon. Just choose fresh and easy-to-preserve dishes. The key is not to be picky! Buy whatever is on sale and diversify your food. There are also steamed buns/baos in supermarkets that can be frozen for breakfast for a week. You can take them out in the morning and steam them for a few minutes or microwave them without thawing. They are convenient, fast and cheap. When vegetables/meat are cheap, buy more and freeze them. For example, I usually have diced carrots/frozen tomatoes/onions in the freezer... I can simply cook noodles or mixed fried rice after get off work, which is cheaper and healthier than eating takeout. I regard saving money as a long-term habit, so I don’t recommend that you make yourself particularly uncomfortable when it comes to food. You can indeed save money by eating noodles with clear soup every day, but health problems will cost you more money.

?3. Housing

For many of our migrant workers, rent is really a major factor affecting their savings. My monthly rent now is only 300. I used to live 2 kilometers away from the company, and the rent was more than three times what it is now. Because there are quite a lot of public rental housing here, as long as the family does not have a house in the city, outsiders still need to apply for a residence permit, and then they can participate in the lottery. You can also pay attention to the relevant information in your city. In order to increase the probability of winning the lottery, the transportation in the community I chose is not particularly convenient (it is still 4 kilometers away from the subway station), but I can accept the one-way commute from subway to bus within an hour. If public rental housing is not possible, you can rent a house within this distance based on your acceptance of the commuting time. The closer the house is to the company, the better, but for me personally, the heartache of paying rent is far greater than the comfort of living downstairs from the company.

?4. Travel

If you can't afford to take a taxi, don't take a taxi. If you travel alone and you don't have the habit of taking a taxi, the starting price of a taxi is enough for a lunch. When deciding where to go, your first reaction is to search for buses and subways. There are often activities about taking buses and subways for a penny via UnionPay, so you can pay more attention. If I am not in a hurry, I will walk within 3 kilometers to exercise. 4. Shopping for skin care

? 1. Shopping

Try to uninstall the shopping app, write down what you need first, and then download it and come back to buy it when you really can’t stand it. Uninstall it after buying, and quit I have been out of service for a long time and now I have no desire to use the shopping app... After my experiment, just like adding a shopping cart, many things become unnecessary after a few days. When I go to the supermarket, I see the cheap ones and buy them directly (daily necessities such as paper towels, shampoo and toothpaste are often discounted offline). The things you are really anxious about are the things you need to go downstairs to buy right away. There is nothing you buy online that you need to use right now.

If something breaks, first think about whether it can be repaired or whether there are replaceable items, rather than buying and selling randomly.

The first two times I rented an apartment, I bought flashy floor-standing clothes hangers. Hanging two more clothes would bend them in the winter. Then I thought about hanging bacon and sausage pipes at home. It just looked a bit plain...so I bought a few cheap water pipes and spliced ??them together to become a very strong clothes hanger, the kind you often see on street stalls. I recently needed a refrigerator dust cover with storage function. I wrote it down in my memo but never bought one. It’s not because I think it’s expensive, but I just don’t want to add something physical. Later I saw the unused pillowcase, which was designed for a small refrigerator! The size is just right. The pillowcase is turned over to cover the refrigerator. The opening for the pillow on one side can be used as a storage bag. Cut a hole on the other side to maintain balance. It is more than enough for small things such as plastic wrap. Similar little surprises need to be discovered by yourself. I think it makes me happier than buying random things ~ 2. Skin care and makeup

I will write down the opening and use dates of skin care products/daily necessities to find out clearly Don’t stock up on too many skin care products and cosmetics at your own consumption rate. First, because these products are consumed relatively slowly, they usually feel tired before they are used up, or they may have sudden allergies and need to change brands. Second, there are many big sales every year, so there is really no need to buy too much at once. It is said that the ultimate way to skin care is Sera Skin. I use one bottle and apply it all over the body. I personally feel that it feels good. After simplifying the skin care process, the skin condition is more stable and there is less redness and itchiness. I don’t buy duplicate makeup. After all, a palette of eye shadows, an eyebrow pencil, and a lipstick can really last a long time, and I’m handicapped. No matter how many cosmetics of different colors and brands I use, the final effect on my face will be the same. It looks the same. One color ~ So the makeup has been so simple that it can fit in a palm-sized bag.

Finally, I would like to share with you some of my consumption concepts:

1. Refuse to spend in advance

Try not to use Huabei, credit cards, etc. Advanced consumption does not cost money, but water. It will give people the illusion that they are rich, and they will easily overspend without realizing it. When they pay back the money, they will really doubt their life when they see the bill.

2. Don’t create demand casually

You think that if you buy a bracelet, you can exercise, or if you buy a breakfast machine and a soy milk machine, you can insist on making breakfast. The premise is that you already exercise and get up early. Get used to it. In short, don't buy or use things you don't need, such as raffle prizes... I got a cervical massager myself. I don't need it at all. I didn't use it a few times after I left it. When I finally sold it, I had to sell it at a low price. .

3. Minimalist life

Learn some minimalist methods to achieve multiple uses of one thing. For example, chicken breasts marinated in baking soda will be more tender; baking soda and dish soap mixed with water can remove oil stains, and it can be used with a cleaning ball to clean the kitchen; white vinegar can remove odors and can also be mixed with water to clean the toilet. In this way, two or three cheap items that are frequently used can replace starch/cooking wine/grease remover/toilet cleaner...Currently, this aspect still needs continuous learning.

The above are some of my usual money-saving habits and consumption concepts. To summarize briefly, I need to make a plan to save money first, then think twice about spending money every day, do not spend randomly, and pay attention to every small amount of money in order to save. Big money.
