According to Article 5 of the "Bank Card Management Measures" bank cards, credit cards and debit cards. Bank cards are divided into RMB cards and foreign currency cards according to different currencies; they are divided into corporate cards (commercial cards) and personal cards according to the issuing objects; they are divided into magnetic stripe cards and chip (IC) cards according to different information carriers.
Article 6 Credit cards are divided into two categories: credit cards and quasi-credit cards based on whether a reserve fund is deposited with the card-issuing bank. A credit card refers to a credit card in which the card-issuing bank gives the cardholder a certain credit limit, and the cardholder can consume within the credit limit first and repay later. A quasi-credit card refers to a credit card in which the cardholder must first deposit a certain amount of reserve fund as required by the card-issuing bank. When the reserve account balance is insufficient for payment, the cardholder can overdraw within the credit limit specified by the card-issuing bank.

Article 45 of the "Bank Card Management Measures" card-issuing banks shall comply with the following credit card business risk control indicators:
(1) Same The amount of a single overdraft incurred by a cardholder shall not exceed 20,000 yuan (including the equivalent in foreign currency) for personal cards, and shall not exceed 50,000 yuan (including the equivalent in foreign currencies) for corporate cards.
(2) The monthly overdraft balance of the same account for personal cards shall not exceed 50,000 yuan (including the equivalent in foreign currencies), and for corporate cards shall not exceed 3% of the comprehensive credit limit of the issuing bank for the unit. For units that have no comprehensive credit limit to refer to, their monthly overdraft balance shall not exceed 100,000 yuan (including the equivalent in foreign currencies).
(3) The overdraft limit of a foreign currency card shall not exceed 80% of the cardholder’s security deposit (including the pledged amount of the savings certificate).
(4) The average monthly overdraft balance that occurs for more than 180 days (including 180 days, the same below) from the date of implementation of these Measures shall not exceed 15% of the average monthly total overdraft balance.
