If you apply for a China Merchants Bank credit card or apply for a credit card through online channels (except for door-to-door applications and professional version applications), you need to bring your original ID card to the counter in the city where you apply for an interview.

Passing the initial review by the system will trigger an invitation SMS message for an interview. The interview is valid for 30 days. Failure to do so will result in automatic abandonment of the credit card application. And you cannot submit another credit card application online within 90 days.

You don’t have to go to the interview, or you can call us directly to explain the cancellation of the card application, which will not affect your credit report.
