The People's Bank of China independently performs the following functions in accordance with the law: formulating and implementing monetary policies; issuing RMB and managing the circulation of RMB; supervising the currency market, foreign exchange market, and gold market; implementing foreign exchange management, and holding, managing, and operating the country's foreign exchange Reserves and gold reserves; manage the treasury; maintain the normal operation of payment and settlement systems; be responsible for the formulation and summary of comprehensive statistical systems for the financial industry, macroeconomic analysis and forecasting; and conduct relevant international financial activities.
Mainly because the People's Bank of China has different functions, it does not handle personal business.
