2. Except for transactions prohibited by national laws, the dollar arrears arising from overseas credit card consumption or overdraft withdrawal can be repaid by purchasing foreign exchange in RMB or directly in US dollars.
Repayment of foreign exchange purchase can be handled in the following three ways:
(1) Go to the counter of China Everbright Bank, which has opened foreign exchange trading business, and directly handle the repayment of foreign exchange purchase with RMB cash, debit card or passbook.
(2) You can apply for individual foreign exchange purchase repayment through the 24-hour customer service hotline of China Everbright Bank. The specific steps are as follows:
A. Customer deposit: firstly, according to the foreign exchange quotation published by the bank, the arrears on the US dollar bill are converted into RMB, and then the repayment amount of RMB is deposited into the credit card through the repayment channel provided by China Everbright Bank to complete the deposit.
B. Customers purchase foreign exchange: Call the 24-hour customer service hotline of China Everbright Bank to inform the customer service staff that the RMB deposited will be used to repay the arrears of US dollars and complete the application for foreign exchange purchase.
C bank entry: after accepting the application for repayment of foreign exchange, the customer service center of China Everbright Bank will complete the repayment of foreign exchange within 3 working days according to the foreign exchange quotation on the business day. If the repayment of foreign exchange purchase is unsuccessful, the customer service staff of China Everbright Bank will call you.
(3) Set up automatic foreign exchange purchase repayment through online banking or call the 24-hour customer service hotline of China Everbright Bank, and authorize China Everbright Bank to automatically purchase foreign exchange RMB from the debit card or passbook provided by you on the repayment due date.
Matters needing attention for repayment of foreign exchange purchase are as follows:
A. According to the regulations of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, the amount of foreign exchange purchased cannot be higher than the current credit card account balance in US dollars.
B the exchange rate for purchasing foreign exchange shall be based on the foreign exchange quotation published by the bank on the actual date of purchasing foreign exchange.
