Applying for a refund after spending with a Bank of Communications credit card cannot be counted as repayment by the borrower. Only the money deposited into the credit card is counted as repayment.
The Bank of Communications does this mainly because it is worried about customers cashing out their credit cards. Cardholders and merchants have reached an understanding that at the beginning of each credit cycle, a sum of funds will be wiped out first. At the time of repayment, the merchant will refund it to the credit card account. If the refund is defaulted to the cardholder's repayment, it means that the cardholder has permanently occupied the funds.
