In fact, the way to make wishes and make them effective does not depend on the superficial method, but on whether you have enough blessings and merits.

It’s like depositing a lot of money in the bank. Whatever you want to buy, just use a certain method to withdraw money and spend it. If you don’t have money, if it’s small, you can ask someone to lend it to you. If you need a lot of money, others may not lend it to you.

The same goes for making a wish. Whether your wish can come true or not does not depend on what you make. If your wish comes true, I will offer incense, make offerings to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, or sing operas. If this is not the case, then Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will not be ordinary people who are greedy for money.

Some people make a wish because their own blessings are enough to realize it. However, if they do not ask the Buddha, it may take a while, but if they ask the Buddha and Bodhisattva, the Buddha and Bodhisattva may make it smoother for them. Fulfill your wishes. That's it.

If your own blessings are not enough, Buddha and Bodhisattva cannot help you. Just like the deposit example above, if you don’t save much, the bank will not withdraw it from you. That's the truth. It's your own fault. It's your own fault that you don't do enough good deeds and don't get enough merit and blessings.

But there is another way, which is to make a wish to do good deeds, because doing good deeds has merit. If you are sincere, Buddha and Bodhisattva will let you use the merit of doing good deeds in the future to realize this wish in advance. It's like taking out a loan or borrowing money.

Therefore, to make a wish, you must make a wish to do good deeds, such as releasing a certain number of animals or paying a certain amount of money within a certain period of time, or reciting a certain number of sutras or printing a certain number of sutras. May the Buddha and Bodhisattva bless you to realize whatever legitimate wishes you have. This is the correct way to make a wish.
