First, the People’s Bank of China’s personal credit report will show whether your ID card has ever applied for a loan or credit card.

1. If the credit card information is not displayed, the police report notification letter is a fraud.

2. If the credit card information is displayed and matches the content in the police report notification letter, it means that your ID card has been used by someone else. You can go directly to the Public Security Bureau to report the crime.
