Apply for a temporary ID card.

You can apply for a temporary ID card at the public security bureau where your household registration is located. The temporary ID card is valid for three months. During the validity period, the temporary ID card has the same legal effect as the official ID card.

Article 14 of the "Measures for the Administration of Temporary Identity Cards" stipulates:

"Citizens who need to prove their identity when engaging in relevant activities have the right to use temporary resident identity cards to prove their identity.
