The number of times the credit card password is entered exceeds the limit, which means that the password is entered incorrectly for more than 6 times or more, and the number of times exceeds the limit. But generally, if you press the wrong password three times, the credit card will be locked. However, there are two situations in which a credit card is locked, one is an overrun temporary lock card, the other is an overrun permanent lock card, and the handling methods are different.

1, overrun temporary lock card

This lock card means that if the credit card password is entered incorrectly for three consecutive times, the issuing bank will temporarily freeze your credit card and you can't use it for any transaction. However, this lock card will be automatically unlocked after more than 24 hours, so the credit card password in this case temporarily exceeds the limit, and everyone can make a transaction as long as they wait until the next day.

2, overrun permanent lock card

This card lock means that if the password number of your credit card reaches 10 or more times continuously, your credit card will be locked permanently. Once the card is permanently locked, it will not be automatically unlocked. Cardholders need to call the issuing bank's credit card service hotline, turn to manual service to unlock, or go to the counter to unlock.

It is relatively troublesome to unlock the counter. The cardholder needs to hold a valid ID card and your credit card to unlock it at the counter of the business outlet where the issuing bank is located, and it can be unlocked on the same day after successful handling.
