If it is a China Merchants Bank credit card, there is a date displayed below the credit card number. The former date is the issuance date, and the latter is the expiration date; if only one date is displayed, it is the expiration date.

For example: the card says

07/10-07/15, which means the credit card was issued in July 2010.
