Stealing a credit card can you find out who swiped it?
After discovering that their credit card has been stolen, customers can print out the transaction details of the card, then find out what they have not consumed, provide the information to the issuing bank, and report the case to the local public security department.

After that, the issuing bank will contact the acquiring bank for verification according to the list, collect the POS signature and check the signature. If you find out when the card was stolen and the merchants who spent it, you can contact the merchants to ask for monitoring and find the person who stole the card.

However, we also need to pay attention. Sometimes it may be because there is no monitoring installed, or it is not found in time after stealing the card, and it has been a long time since it was discovered, which makes it impossible to find out who stole the card.

However, as long as the issuing bank can prove that the card was not consumed by itself, it was indeed stolen, and the responsibility for stealing the card is not on the cardholder, then the cardholder can not be responsible for the amount stolen, and the responsibility is borne by the acquiring bank or merchant.

As an important financial tool, credit card is easy to use in daily life and can meet the needs of payment, consumption, installment and so on. However, it is used by some lawless elements and there are security risks. There are usually two situations when a credit card is stolen: one is that criminals directly use the original card to swipe the card or withdraw cash. This situation is mostly because the cardholder lost his credit card and leaked his password. The other is that criminals copy and forge credit cards, steal passwords, and steal them in different places or online. This is the situation in the Ding case.

In order to protect consumers' property safety, Beijing Banking Insurance Supervision Branch issued a risk warning that three aspects should be paid attention to to to prevent credit cards from being stolen:

First, keep it safe. Take good care of the credit card and the corresponding documents, the information and password on the front of the credit card, and the mobile phone number reserved when handling the card. Don't give your credit card to others, and don't tell others your password. For mobile banking or online banking, you should be vigilant when operating transactions and pay attention to account changes in time.

The second is to standardize payment. Go to a regular merchant to swipe your card. Pay attention to whether there are suspicious devices around when swiping the card, and keep a safe distance from others when entering the password to prevent the password from being peeked. Improve your vigilance against phishing websites, unsafe links and fraudulent phone calls. Don't enter passwords in an unsafe environment to avoid information leakage.

The third is to open SMS reminders. Try to open the credit card SMS notification function and pay attention to it at any time, keep abreast of the changes in funds, improve the response speed and prevent the loss from increasing.

In addition, once the credit card is stolen, three measures should be kept in mind:

First, freeze or report the loss in time. Call the official customer service phone of the issuing bank as soon as you find the credit card stolen, inform the abnormal transaction, and freeze the account or report the loss in time. If a third-party payment platform is involved, immediately contact the telephone to control the withdrawal of funds.

The second is to report the case to the public security organ immediately. Keep the receipt of the box. Describe the stolen credit card in detail, and prove that the credit card is still kept by me, and the stolen credit card consumption is not my doing. Some payment institutions require cardholders to provide case receipts as proof of refusing transactions.

The third is fixed evidence. Immediately make a card transaction at the nearest ATM or POS to prove that the card is not lost on you and the fixed electronic evidence witness card is not separated. If the card has been frozen or lost, the card cannot be swiped successfully, and the card may be swallowed when trading through ATM. Please don't panic, just follow the relevant regulations of the bank.
