Is it legal for banks to outsource collection?
Legal analysis: as long as it is not a violent collection, and it belongs to the formal sector, then door-to-door collection is legal. The bank's door-to-door collection of credit card arrears is to safeguard the bank's own basic rights and interests, but if it is other credit disputes (not malicious credit card arrears), the public security organs have no right to intervene. In the case of malicious breach of credit card, if it is overdue for more than 2 times, it is necessary to collect it at home. If you can't repay in full, it is recommended to repay the minimum amount, but it will generate interest. If the repayment is overdue, it will not only cause late payment fees, but also seriously affect your personal credit history. Once you have a bad record, you can't apply for credit cards and bank loans for five years. If you still don't repay after repeated reminders from the bank, the bank will eventually sue you for malicious overdue repayment and apply for enforcement.

Legal basis: Article 293rd of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) is under any of the following circumstances. If the circumstances are serious, they shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention or public surveillance, and shall also or only be fined:

(1) Using violence or coercion;

(2) restricting the personal freedom of others or intruding into others' houses;

(3) Threatening, stalking or harassing others.
