1. Don’t let your pride stop you from apologizing.
Refusing to apologize for the sake of your own self-esteem is absolutely useless and will do more harm than good to your relationship.
2. Things outside the body are not only useless, they are even harmful.
They cannot increase the value of your life, but they cost you a lot. Not only do you have to spend money, but you also have to spend time and travel expenses to buy them, and then you have to maintain them, worry about them, insure them, repair them, etc.
3. Slow down and don’t rush.
Slow life is interesting.
4. "Goal" is not as important as you think.
Try doing things aimlessly for a week, and you will find that you have done a lot of good things. And by not having to manage goals, you'll let go of some of the rules in your life. You'll be more relaxed without goals, and more free to choose actions you didn't see coming.
5. Live in the present.
Our worries and plans for the future, as well as memories of the past, are only in our minds that prevent us from appreciating the present. Put that aside and focus on what you are doing right now. In this way, no matter what you do, you will feel calm.
6. When children ask for your attention, always give it to them.
Treat your children wholeheartedly, don’t feel like they are interrupting you, and thank them for reminding you to spend more time with the people you love.
7. Don’t go into debt.
Including credit card debt, student loans, home loans, personal loans, and car loans. We think these are useful, but they are not at all. They cause more distress than good, they ruin lives, and they cost us more than we receive. Don’t spend more than you earn, buy something only after you earn enough.
8. I’m not cool, but I don’t care.
When I was younger I wasted too much energy trying to look cool. It would be better to let go of this idea and just be yourself.
9. The only real marketing is the excellence of the product itself.
If it’s good, your customers will spread the word for you. All other marketing methods are deception.
10. If what you want to say cannot be made public, don’t send it by email or text message.
In this digital age, you never know what will become public.
11. People cannot be motivated. At most, you can only inspire them with your own actions.
Those who think they can use behavioral science or management techniques to motivate others have never been so motivated.
12. If you find yourself blindly following the crowd, quickly make a U-turn.
They don’t know where they are going.
13. You will miss a lot of things, but that’s okay.
We are so concerned with trying to do everything, experience everything there is to experience, and not miss anything important...that we forget that we can't actually do everything. Realistic conditions dictate that we miss most things. We can’t read every good book, watch every good movie, visit every good city in the world, eat at every great restaurant, and meet every great person. But let me tell you a secret: life would be better if we didn’t try to do everything. Learn to enjoy every moment of life, and you will find that life becomes infinitely better.
14. You can learn the most from your mistakes.
Don’t be afraid of making mistakes, but try not to make the same mistakes over and over again.
15. Failure is the mother of success.
We don’t know how to succeed without experiencing failure. You should try to fail rather than try to avoid failure in fear.
16. Rest is far more important than you think.
Everyone works too hard and forgets to take breaks. As a result, they gradually hate work. You'll often see people training for marathons in the gym who burn themselves out because they don't know how to recuperate from tight muscles and joints.
Those who take themselves too seriously actually don't understand that taking a break after hard work can make them more powerful.
17. True happiness.
Few joys can compare with reading a good book, a relaxing walk, a warm hug, or having a good friend. And none of this costs money.
18. Exercise does not happen overnight.
This is a long learning process, the results accumulated over time. I have been exercising continuously for five years and still have a lot to do and learn. But the results I got were amazing and the process was great.
19. The destination is only a small part of the journey.
We are so focused on our goals and future that we miss the beauty along the way. If you only have the final goal in mind, you will only be happy when you achieve it. Then you start worrying about the next goal.
20. A good walk can solve many problems.
Want to lose weight? Go for a walk. Want to live well without spending any money? Go for a walk. Want to eliminate stress and clear your mind? Go for a walk. Want to meditate and enjoy the moment? Go for a walk. Have problems in life or work? Go for a walk and you'll clear your mind.
21. Throw away your expectations.
If you have expectations about a person, an experience, a vacation, or a book, you add a premise that is out of touch with reality. You create a fantasy about this person or thing and then try to make reality fit your fantasy, which often ends in disappointment. What you should do is experience the nature of reality, taste the connotation of reality, and be happy with it.
22. Giving is more blessed than receiving.
Don’t ask for anything in return when giving, so that your good deeds will be more pure and beautiful. We often give with the expectation of something in return, or at least a modicum of gratitude or praise. Try to put these aside and just give.
23. Competition is rarely as useful as cooperation.
Our society encourages competition, cut-throat warfare, survival of the fittest, and so on. But humans should cooperate to maintain the continuation of the species, and cooperation can integrate resources so that everyone can contribute. Teamwork requires a different set of skills, but it's definitely worth the effort.
24. Only when you are content can you always be happy.
We are always dissatisfied with life and want more because we don’t understand what we have. Instead of always looking at what you don’t have, be grateful for what you do have, including your loved ones, simple pleasures, good health and good eyesight, music and books, your personality, beauty and creativity, and Everything in them. Be grateful every day.
25. Compassion for other lives is more important than one’s own enjoyment.
Many people like the taste of meat and cheese so much that they turn their noses up at vegetarians, but these people actually put their own appetites before the suffering of other animals. Eating a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet (or even a vegetarian diet) can definitely keep you healthy, so killing or abusing animals is unnecessary. Having compassion will make your life more satisfying than ignoring the suffering of other lives.
26. Eating habits can be changed.
I used to think that I couldn’t eat meat, but I slowly cut back on it and now I don’t miss the taste of meat at all. I also thought I couldn't live without junk food, such as candies, fried snacks, corn flakes, and all kinds of unhealthy things. But these days I'd rather eat some fresh berries or natural nuts. It's weird, but also amazing, that our eating habits can change so much.
27. Be creative.
The world is full of things that grab your attention, but not many are as important as creativity. As a writer, nothing is as critical as creativity. Creativity is one of the few things that brings meaning to my life. When you're doing something, put aside other influences and use your creativity.
28. Have a vision.
Often when we are worried or angry it is because we have lost our vision. Looking at the overall situation, the problems we are encountering now are nothing at all, and the things that have caused disputes are simply insignificant.
Let it go and get on with what you have to do.
29. Don’t sit still for a long time, otherwise you will get into trouble.
Get up and move, dance, run, and have fun.
30. Make good use of the magic of compound interest.
Invest as early as possible and let it increase in value like alchemy. Live a frugal life, don't live on a tenuous diet, save as much as possible and invest in mutual funds and watch them increase in value.
31. Understand the information you receive and then question it.
What is taught in schools, as well as the information conveyed by various media (news, movies, books, magazines, the Internet), all have a worldview that we are expected to cater to. Figure out what that worldview is and then question it. Think about the alternatives and then validate them. Here’s a hint: Businesses embed all kinds of influence in their information resources. One more tip: read Noam Chomsky.
32. Learn to think from others’ perspective.
We often judge others easily. You should put yourself in their shoes and try to understand what they do. Let’s start by assuming that if we could understand what happened to them, we would know that they had a good reason for what they did. If you know how to think differently, your life will become better.
33. Do fewer things.
Most people want to do too many things. Their lives are filled with to-do lists and they work like a robot trying to complete them one by one. Get rid of the list and think about what really matters. Don't be like a machine, just do what you like and do it well.
34. Parents don’t know what they are doing.
We all pretend we know it and hope we do it right. Some people get hung up on the details and end up having no fun. I just hope that I don't screw up too much, that I let my children know that I'm loved, that I enjoy my time with them, that they see that life is full of fun, and that it doesn't prevent them from growing up to be great people. They are already excellent.
35. There are many kinds of love.
I love my children, unreservedly, and more than I could have imagined. I love each child in a different way, and I know they are each perfect.
36. Life is very short.
You may think you have a long time to live, but time flies faster than you think. Children grow up so fast that they seem to be urging you from behind, and your hair is already covered with gray hair before your responsibilities are relieved. Enjoy every moment of your life.
37. Fear will try to stop you.
Doubts will also try to stop you. Self-doubt and fear can keep you from trying to do something awesome, from embarking on new adventures, from creating something new for the world to see. This idea will be ingrained in your subconscious mind, so you won't even notice it. Be careful of these fears and doubts, look at them with a mirror, cut them into pieces, and do it with confidence, because they are all wrong.
38. I still have a lot to learn.
The only thing I have learned now is that I know almost nothing, and what I think I know is usually wrong. There are still many lessons to be learned in life, and I’m looking forward to them.
