If you hold a dual-currency credit card, there are two card payment lines overseas, one is UnionPay, and the other is MasterCard, VISA or JCB.

Swiping your card on UnionPay lines will be settled directly in RMB;

Swiping your card on MasterCard, VISA or JCB international routes will be settled in U.S. dollars. After the bill is settled, you can open foreign exchange purchases. Repayment function, repay US dollar bills in RMB.

If you currently hold a UnionPay credit card, you can use the card to make purchases on overseas UnionPay lines and settle the payment directly in RMB.

For transactions at merchants with VISA, Master, and JCB logos in non-US dollar countries, a foreign currency exchange fee of 1.5% of the transaction amount will be charged. If you consume in US dollar countries or choose UnionPay lines when making overseas transactions, there will be no foreign currency exchange fees. It is recommended to declare to the merchant that you choose to use China UnionPay or international card organization channels when making card transactions.
