If I use US dollars to swipe my credit card, can I pay it back directly in RMB?
Repayment can be made directly in RMB. If there is a repayment amount in US dollars on the bill, you can deposit it in RMB to purchase foreign exchange for repayment, but it is not clear whether every bank does this. I use CCB's. I deposited enough RMB to purchase foreign exchange before the due repayment date, and then made a foreign exchange purchase on the day of deposit. I can purchase foreign exchange through customer service hotline, online banking, mobile banking and official WeChat. If there is an agreed repayment account, you can set the automatic foreign exchange purchase function of the agreed account at the time of binding, without doing it yourself. After the expiration, you will automatically deduct RMB from the designated account to return the US dollar.

CCB's credit card can be repaid in RMB after swiping US dollars. The credit card held by the cardholder has the function of overseas use (that is, the card supporting foreign currency). In consumption abroad (mainly for overdraft consumption), cardholders can repay their debts in RMB after returning home.

For consumer accounts generated from foreign currency accounts, you only need to deposit enough RMB (RMB arrears+foreign currency arrears) into the credit card account before the due repayment date. The RMB deposited each time will be automatically used to repay the foreign currency arrears payable in the current statement first, and the excess will be used to repay the RMB account arrears.

Automatic repayment of RMB has been started. On the due repayment date, the foreign currency account arrears will be automatically converted into RMB together with the RMB account arrears, and the repayment will be automatically transferred out of the current RMB account.
