1. Cancel the card immediately after the deadline.
Continue to use this card, and the term should not expire. After 24 months, the system will automatically overwrite the previous overdue records. If you cancel your card immediately after it expires, the bad record will always accompany you.
2. If you don't swipe it enough times, you will cancel the card.
Different banks have different credit card annual fee reduction policies. Usually, most credit cards need to be fully charged for a certain number of times. Some credit cards can only be exempted from annual fees if they spend a certain amount.
3. If the arrears are not settled, cancel the card.
Before cancellation, we usually need to check whether the credit card is in arrears, such as withdrawing interest and account management fees. We can't see the bill, and it's easy to be mistaken for paying off the debt.
4. Use a credit card for settlement.
When canceling a credit card, there is usually a "liquidation period" of about 45 days to ensure that the card can be cancelled without any delay in the transaction. During this "account clearing period", the cardholder must be careful not to use the credit card for any transaction, otherwise it will lead to the failure of card refund.
5. Refusing the card does not mean canceling the account.
Credit card cancellation means that only one credit card in the cardholder's name is cancelled, which generally takes effect immediately after applying for card cancellation; The cancellation of a credit card account is the cancellation of the cardholder's entire account. All debts must be paid off before closing the account. After applying for closing the account, it usually takes 45 days to take effect, and the points will be cleared after closing the account.
6. The credit card was not destroyed after the account was cancelled.
After the cancellation of the credit card, be sure to cut the invalid credit card along the magnetic stripe. If the credit card is not destroyed, there is a risk of being stolen.
