Method 1:

(1) Open WeChat, click "My" and click "Wallet".

(2) Click "Credit Card Repayment".

(3) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Apply for a Credit Card for Free". After entering this page, there will be many types of cards recommended. You can choose the one you need, or you can apply for them all. Then fill in the relevant information and wait for review.

Method 2:

(1) Click WeChat, click "My", and click "Wallet".

(2) Click "Bank Card", slide to the bottom of the page, and click "Apply for Credit Card".

Does applying for a credit card via WeChat require going to the bank to activate it?

Required. You need to go to a bank branch for face-to-face activation, bring the relevant documents used for application, and be sure to activate before the final activation date.
