How to avoid arbitrary deductions on credit cards
1. Annual fee: 6 times of payment
Almost all credit cards issued by banks have annual fees. The cost ranges from 10 yuan to several thousand yuan. The more advanced the credit card, the higher the annual fee. For example, the annual fee for many platinum cards is between 800 yuan and 5,800 yuan.
Countermeasures: In order to encourage consumers to use credit cards, banks will implement a policy of waiving annual fees for credit card swiping based on the level of the credit card. For example, generally with the lowest level credit card, if you swipe the card 3-6 times a year, the annual fee for the next year will be waived.
2. Interest: Set up automatic repayment
The biggest advantage of a credit card is that it has an interest-free period ranging from 30 days to 56 days, but some people will forget the repayment time. Failure to repay or forgetting to repay the amount and not repaying in full ultimately results in loss of interest. The interest rate of 0.5% per day is equivalent to an annual interest rate of 18%. Not only does it cost you more money, it will also damage your credit and cause you a lot of trouble when applying for a loan in the future.
Countermeasures: The best way is to bind an automatic repayment account, such as your salary account or Alipay account, etc.
3. Late payment fees: stick to the minimum repayment amount
The minimum repayment amount is generally 10% of the repayment amount, and the minimum payment amount will be indicated on your bill. If you repay the 10% on the repayment date, the advantage is that it will not affect your personal credit record. But if your repayment amount is lower than the minimum repayment amount, the bank will also charge a 5% late payment fee for the portion lower than the minimum repayment amount.
Countermeasures: No matter why you cannot repay in full for any reason, you must at least make up the minimum repayment amount.
