My bank card has been swallowed. How long do I usually keep it?

If the bank card (including China Merchants Bank and other banks) was swallowed at the self-service equipment of China Merchants Bank before timeout, you can try to collect the card by yourself:

90 seconds self-service on-site card collection: after swallowing the card Enter the correct withdrawal password within 90 seconds to get the card from the machine. If you enter the wrong password once within 90 seconds or fail to enter the password within the timeout or press the "Cancel" key on the password keyboard, the machine will swallow the card;

Full-time self-service on-site card collection: Within 7 days after the card is swallowed, enter the last 4 digits of the card number and the withdrawal password on the original card swallowing device to get the card. If the password is entered incorrectly (two opportunities), the device will swallow the card.

Situation 1: If your China Merchants Bank card is swallowed by the ATM machine of China Merchants Bank, the solution is:

If there is a China Merchants Bank branch nearby, please contact the branch staff directly for the fastest processing ;

If there is no China Merchants Bank branch, please dial 95555 to enter manual consultation and feedback, and then go to the designated branch to collect the card.

Tip: If the CMB credit card is swallowed at the CMB ATM, the card will be kept at the designated branch for 7 working days after being taken out. Please collect the card within the specified time after receiving the card collection notice. If the card is not collected within the time limit, it will be destroyed. Please contact the credit card center to get a new card.

Situation 2: The China Merchants Bank card has been swallowed at another bank's ATM. It is recommended that you first dial 95555 and select "4" to report the emergency loss to ensure the safety of your funds, and then contact the other bank to inquire about card collection. If it is inconvenient to go to the other bank to get the card, you can go directly to the counter of our bank with the account opening certificate to apply for a reissue of the card (if it is a credit card, please contact the Credit Card Center at 4008205555 for a reissue).

If the other bank requires proof when collecting the card, you can bring the original valid ID and print the account certificate as proof at any CMB branch.

Situation 3: A card from another bank is swallowed by China Merchants Bank. The solution is:

Call the issuing bank’s customer service number to report the loss of the card to ensure account security;

Call China Merchants Bank’s customer service hotline 95555 to verify the card collection. You cannot collect the card on your behalf;

The card will be retained for 21 days after the card is swallowed. If it expires and is not collected, it will be destroyed by the branch;

Card collection Please bring your original valid ID to the corresponding card-collecting branch of our bank to collect the card. You may be required to provide an account certificate. It is recommended that you contact the corresponding card-collecting branch to confirm.
