1. Cancellation by phone

Canceling by phone is the most convenient way to cancel a credit card. You only need to call the Agricultural Bank of China Customer Service Center phone number 800-819-5599 to apply for credit card cancellation. If the credit card is successfully canceled, the bank will notify you by phone;

2. Cancellation at the counter

If there is an Agricultural Bank of China near your home, you can also bring your ID card and credit card. Go to the counter and ask bank staff to cancel your credit card in person.

Tips:

Before you cancel your credit card, there must be no outstanding balances or excess deposits on the credit card. If there is excess deposit, you need to spend it or take it out before canceling the card. If there is a debt, you must pay off the debt before canceling the credit card.

To ensure account security, the card must be with you when canceling the card over the phone.

Agricultural Bank of China will proactively contact you two months before your card expires. If you do not intend to continue using it, you must notify our bank in writing one month before the expiration date; otherwise, Agricultural Bank of China will mail or send you a new card before the card expires.

If your Agricultural Bank of China credit card is lost, you can only cancel the card at the branch counter. If there are new accounts payable within 45 days (inclusive) of card cancellation, you will still be responsible for it. If there is no outstanding balance or over-deposit in the account 45 days after the card is canceled, the system will automatically cancel the account without any procedures.

It takes a while to cancel a credit card over the phone, so 46 days after canceling the card, call the Agricultural Credit Card customer service number again to confirm whether the credit card has been canceled successfully.

After logging out, be sure to remove the magnetic stripe of the credit card. It is best to cut the card in half with scissors.
