Why the credit card cannot be paid after 11 o'clock? These may be the reasons

For users who use credit cards, failure to swipe their cards may be their most feared situation, but in fact many people have encountered this problem. So why do the credit cards swiped after 11 o'clock never arrive? Let's see if these are the reasons.

Why is the payment not received when I swipe my credit card after 11 o'clock?

1. The transaction time is late: If the payment is not received today, you have to wait for the payment company's normal transfer cycle. For payment methods that support D+1, the funds may be transferred the next day; for payment methods that support T+1, the funds may be transferred on working days.

2. Bank system upgrade: In this case, the money has arrived at the bank but has not yet been recorded. Typically, funds will be credited after banking systems return to normal on business days.

3. Network failure: This situation usually occurs on traditional large POS machines, and the fault code is usually 92. When the user transfers money, UnionPay will feedback information to the POS machine, but due to unstable network, the feedback process may fail.

4. Large amount of card swipe: For larger amount of card swipe transaction, UnionPay may cause delays due to the large amount of funds after receiving the transfer from the user.

In addition, there may be reasons such as banks not trading during holidays, agents or customer service telephone inquiries not being able to receive accounts, etc. In these cases, the payment may need to wait for the appropriate resolution or investigation before it is available.

What are the reasons why the POS machine fails to swipe the card?

1. The time for swiping the card is wrong. The time that most POS machines support seconds is basically between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Outside this time period, credit card swiping does not support seconds. If you swipe, you will have to wait until the next day or the second work day. The day has arrived. The POS machines of some payment companies are available 24 hours a day, but generally we do not recommend swiping cards outside normal business hours to avoid risk control of the credit card by the bank.

2. Bank system upgrade. This possibility is getting smaller and smaller now. Banking system upgrades are now postponed to the early morning, and notices are generally issued in advance.

3. The payment company’s payment system is faulty. Failure of the payment system can also lead to delayed payment. In this case, it depends on the processing speed of the payment company's technical department. If it is faster, the payment will be received on the same day, or the technical department may not be able to do so, and the payment will be received the next day or the next working day.

4. UnionPay channel failure. Regular transfers through clearing the machine must go through the UnionPay channel. If the UnionPay channel fails, the card will not be credited. You can only wait.

5. There is no signature after swiping the card. Whether it is an electronic receipt printed by hand or a receipt printed by a large machine, it must be signed carefully. Some payment companies have strict audits and may not arrive in seconds. Of course, there are also some that have loose audits. You can just scratch it. To avoid non-receipt, don’t be lazy and sign properly.

The above are several reasons why the credit card cannot be paid after 11 o'clock. You can confirm whether these are the reasons.
