The currency currently used in Malaysia is the ringgit, and China does not have a Malaysian currency debit card.
Now all domestic dual-currency cards can be used. There are many Malay VISA MASTER, Express and even UnionPay.
In general, if there is a UnionPay channel, you can use a UnionPay card because there is no exchange fee. Many banks charge currency conversion fees. For example, China Construction Bank.
VISA and MASTER are more popular in China. I have calculated that VISA is suitable, but it is better to use ICBC. Account in U.S. dollars and pay back in U.S. dollars later.
Because I often go to Malaysia, I recommend you try not to use a credit card. Because local exchange is cheaper. As follows:
1. For all currency exchange places, the order of exchange rate losses is: hotels, foreign currency units in large shopping malls, airport banks, credit cards, and small banks in shopping malls. Hotel redemption is least worth it. The exchange rate difference is about 3, which is a big difference. It's easy to miss out by just a few hundred, and using a credit card in time is not as cost-effective as a small bank in a shopping mall. Such small banks are everywhere in shopping malls and supermarkets. Parkson. Both the Twin Towers have it.
2. If you exchange US dollars, be sure to ask for new US dollars. Old US dollars are not accepted by many banks except hotels.
3. If you don’t have U.S. dollars, just use RMB to exchange there for consumption instead of converting RMB into U.S. dollars and then into ringgit. This will result in a loss of exchange rate conversion. The RMB can be directly exchanged there, and everyone prefers it - it has something to do with our improvement in strength.
4. If you use a credit card, use U.S. dollars where the price is listed in U.S. dollars. Do not convert to UnionPay or local currency. Use U.S. dollars directly for accounting. It is also cost-effective to purchase foreign exchange when repaying the loan. Because after the conversion, the mall will exchange it according to its own exchange rate. I have already taken pictures of the exchange rate of the mall before, and the loss is more than that of a credit card.
5. If there is no US dollar price, you can use VISA and UnionPay.
