The use of credit cards is a bit different from debit cards. Credit card holders can choose whether to set a password for card consumption. If the cardholder chooses to swipe the card for consumption without a password, then there is no need to enter a password when swiping the card for consumption; if the cardholder chooses to swipe the card for consumption and enter a password, then generally he is required to enter a password when swiping the card for consumption.
Cardholders can apply to set whether to enter a password when swiping a card through the customer service of the card-issuing bank, online banking and other channels.
For many cardholders, when using credit cards, the credit card password is generally set to be relatively simple and easy to remember, but this is often stolen.
Some banks also provide the password input limit setting function, that is, when the consumption amount is greater than or equal to the "enter password limit", you need to enter a password.
After the card is activated, you can set your transaction password online by logging in to the password management page in online banking or calling the 24-hour customer service hotline shown on the back of the credit card, select the Set Credit Card Transaction Password menu, and follow the voice prompts Set your transaction password; the transaction password can be modified at the Bank of Communications automatic teller machine (ATM). If you forget your transaction password, you can call the Credit Card Center's 24-hour customer service hotline to apply for resetting your credit card transaction password.
