Can Hong Kong and Macao residents apply for credit cards in mainland China?

If you are applying for a China Merchants Bank credit card, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan must be between 25 and 60 years old when applying for the card. They must bring their passport or Hong Kong and Macao pass, a valid identity document from their country of origin, a copy of their residence permit or temporary residence permit, and their employment certificate. Please go to our bank branch for consultation and processing of your certificate and work certification documents.

The following information must be submitted:

Proof of identity: A copy of the front and back of your ID card.

Work certificate: Original work certificate issued by the employer (indicate the specific company name, department, position and income status, stamped with the company seal or personnel seal); or personal badge, business card, etc.

The following information can be submitted according to personal circumstances (conducive to card review and limit increase):

Proof of financial resources: such as: self-owned commodity property rights certification documents (real estate certificate, house purchase contract, Bank mortgage loan certification documents, formal house purchase invoices, etc.), self-owned vehicle certification documents (own vehicle driving license, bank car loan certification documents), income certification documents (bank salary records, income tax withholding vouchers, confidential salary slips Copies of other documents), social security/provident fund payment certificates, academic certificates, etc. Warm reminder: 1.
