What should I do if my credit card is withheld?
Legal analysis: If the credit card cannot be repaid due to criminal detention or imprisonment, you can entrust others to handle it on your behalf. Because the debtor is suspected of committing a crime, his personal freedom is restricted and he cannot be exempted from the responsibility of the credit card. Banks have the right to sue. It is suggested that the parties actively communicate with the bank or contact their family and friends to handle it on their behalf, otherwise it may constitute credit card fraud.

Legal basis: Paragraph 1 of Article 196 of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that in any of the following circumstances, whoever engages in credit card fraud, if the amount is relatively large, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years or criminal detention, and shall also be fined not less than 20,000 yuan but not more than 200,000 yuan, or if there are other serious circumstances, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than five years but not more than 10 years, and shall also be fined not less than 50,000 yuan but not more than 500,000 yuan, or if there are other particularly serious circumstances.
