Why can’t I add a card to ApplePay?
ApplePay is a very convenient mobile payment application that allows users to complete payments without carrying a physical credit card. However, some users will encounter the problem of being unable to add cards. Let’s analyze the possible reasons below.
Reason 1: The credit card does not support ApplePay
First, you need to confirm whether your credit card supports ApplePay. Currently, ApplePay supports credit card types including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc. If your credit card doesn't fall into these types, it won't be added to Apple Pay.
Reason 2: The credit card has expired or been reported lost
If your credit card has expired or been reported lost, it cannot be added to ApplePay. During the process of adding a card, ApplePay will verify the validity of the credit card. If it cannot pass the verification, it will prompt that the addition failed.
Reason 3: Network problem or system failure
If your credit card is eligible but still cannot be added to Apple Pay, it may be due to network problems or system failure. In this case, you can try restarting the device or wait for some time and try adding the card again.
If you encounter the problem of being unable to add a card, you can first confirm whether the credit card supports ApplePay, whether it has expired or been reported lost, and whether there are network problems or system failures. If none of the above problems exist, it is recommended to contact your credit card issuer or Apple customer service for help.
