What do you mean by stop payment status?
The suspension of credit card payment is a preventive measure taken by banks to strengthen management, ensure safety and prevent losses and adverse effects caused by fraudulent use of fake cards and lost cards. At the same time, it is also an important link to stop the payment of the main card or the auxiliary card at the request of the cardholder to reduce the losses and risks of the cardholder.

Credit card payment suspension is generally divided into cardholder's initiative to stop payment, issuer's initiative to stop payment, head office's initiative to stop payment and cardholder's initiative to cancel.

① loss reporting card;

② The main card requires to stop paying the subsidiary card, and the company requires to stop paying the company card;

3 credit cards that exceed the limit and are overdue;

General commercial banks will only take measures to stop payment for credit cards that are used beyond the limit or overdue.

What should I do after my payment is stopped?

Don't cancel the card immediately. When the status of the credit card in the personal credit report is "Stop Payment", once the cardholder returns the card again, the stop payment status of the credit card will not change after the credit report of the People's Bank of China is updated.

The Regulations on the Administration of Credit Information Industry stipulates that the retention period of personal bad information by credit information agencies is 5 years from the date of termination of bad behavior or incident; More than 5 years, should be deleted. However, according to the actual experience, if the card is cancelled in advance, although the overdue record is not displayed, the "stop payment" status still exists, which is a serious bad credit record and still seriously affects the future loan or credit card application.

Whether the card whose payment has been stopped can be restored is generally in the case that the credit card has expired for more than 3 months and is still invalid after at least 2 reminders, or in the case that the bank finds serious illegal use (such as cashing out), once the credit card has been stopped, the bank will generally not accept the application for restoration, unless you can produce tangible evidence to prove that your overdue or illegal behavior is not caused by your own subjective intention, but by force majeure. In this way, the audit application was submitted to the bank's credit card center.
