Construct and operate a unified bank card inter-bank information exchange network across China. In fact, China UnionPay’s services have long gone beyond mainland China and can also be used in more than 160 countries or regions (as of June 2017) including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, the United States, and Germany. Use UnionPay services in some areas, including enquiries, card purchases, cash withdrawals, etc.

When withdrawing cash overseas with a UnionPay RMB card in China, in addition to the daily limit of RMB 10,000 equivalent per card, an annual limit is added.

Effective from January 1, 2016, the cumulative overseas cash withdrawals of each UnionPay RMB card in China shall not exceed the equivalent of RMB 100,000 per year. From October 1 to December 31, 2015, the accumulated value of each card shall not exceed the equivalent value of RMB 50,000.
