How to open PayPal in China:

1. Open the official website of China PayPal.

2. Select a personal account and click Create a PayPal Personal Account below to start registering a PayPal account.

3. Fill in the registration information as required. Please note that the name must be filled in Chinese characters.

4. Continue to fill in the registration information truthfully, verify the mobile phone number, click Agree and create an account to complete the PayPal registration.

After creating an account, PayPal will send a verification email to your registered email address. Just click the Verify Account link to verify.

PayPal Verified Account

After registering with PayPal, you need to activate your PayPal account with your bank card. An ordinary UnionPay card will suffice. The specific steps are to open the PayPal official website, add a credit card or debit card to the wallet, verify the PayPal account-gt; verify the credit card or debit card.

PayPal currently supports 3 ways to verify accounts:

PayPal authentication: This is a new authentication method that can be completed on the same day of registration. As long as you have an online banking card, you only need to log in to the UnionPay page and confirm the reserved mobile phone number information. After adding, some users will be prompted that it is not applicable (you can try to take out the bank card and add it again, if unsuccessful, you can consult a consultant), or the activation fails (the activation failure may be because the reserved mobile phone number is inconsistent or the UnionPay card has not been activated for online banking).

PayPal bank account authentication: only supports China Merchants Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and China Construction Bank. After the card is bound, the PayPal authentication system will transfer the two small amounts into your bound bank account within 2-3 working days, and then enter the two decimal places of the two small amounts into the verification box. If you have not received two small certified payments from Paypal after waiting for more than 7 working days, (you can confirm whether the name is consistent with the Paypal account name, some users may not be able to recognize polyphonic characters).

PayPal credit or debit card authentication: You can complete the authentication on the same day, bind your credit card, and the PayPal authentication system will deduct $1.95 from your credit card. A 4-digit code for the transaction will appear on your credit card account, or you can complete verification by calling your credit card customer service and entering it into the verification box. After successful authentication, US$1.95 will be returned to your PayPal account (if it is not returned within 24 hours, please contact the consultant or customer service in time).

It is recommended to authenticate your UnionPay card, and then PayPal payment will be deducted directly from your bank card. All pages are in Chinese. Very simple. Just fill in the information as prompted. Then you need to verify the mobile phone verification code.
