Currently, the foreign currency conversion fee for CMB’s dual-currency credit card, whether it is Visa, MasterCard or JCB, is 1.5. That is to say, the amount of Philippine pesos swiped on the card will be converted into US dollars and multiplied by 1.015. . There is no currency conversion fee when using a UnionPay line to swipe a credit card or a debit card. The amount swiped will be converted into RMB based on the current foreign exchange rate, so it is more cost-effective. However, please note that there are very few places in the Philippines where UnionPay cards can be swiped, and they are limited to some SM malls.
