The impact of overdue credit on cardholders is diverse. Today, the editor will tell you about the consequences of overdue Bank of Communications credit cards.
Normally, the consequences of an overdue Bank of Communications credit card are as follows:
1. The bank will charge interest and handling fees
If the amount in arrears is small, and If the overdue time is very short, the card-issuing bank will calculate interest on a daily basis from the day when the consumption occurs, with a daily interest rate of 0.5%, and compound interest on a monthly basis; for the unpaid portion of the minimum repayment amount, an additional 5% will be charged on a monthly basis. Late payment fees.
2. The bank will call to call for loan repayment
When the loan expires, the bank will issue a call notice within a certain period of time. Due to ignorance, some people not only refuse to repay the money, but also "run away" by changing their addresses, mobile phones, etc., so that the bank cannot contact them, thinking that there is nothing the bank can do. It turns out that this approach is very wrong and absolutely undesirable. When you use a credit card, your real information is now recorded by the bank. When you "escape", the banking association will determine that you have malicious overdrafts and defaults, and call the police.
3. The cardholder’s credit report will produce a bad credit record
If the credit card is overdue for too long and the bank’s reminder notice is ignored, the credit card account will be frozen by the card-issuing bank. The arrears record may be reflected in the People's Bank of China's own credit system, affecting the cardholder's credit record, causing the cardholder to be unable to apply for a housing mortgage loan normally.
4. If you think you are overdue maliciously, you will bear legal consequences
If the amount of arrears is large and the overdue time is long, it may even violate the Criminal Code. According to Article 6 of the "Interpretation of the Supreme People's Court on the Application of the Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China" (Fa Shi [2009] No. 19): the cardholder exceeds the prescribed limit or prescribed period for the purpose of illegal possession. If the card is overdrafted and has not been repaid for more than 3 months after being called upon twice by the card-issuing bank, it shall be deemed a "malicious overdraft" as stipulated in Article 196 of the Criminal Law.
