I lost my credit card and I'm away from home. Can I report the loss or cancel it?
yes, credit cards can be reported for loss in different places.

Credit cards are different from debit cards, and there is no difference between local and different places. You can report the loss and reissue it online, and the new card will be mailed to your designated address.

Take ICBC Credit Card as an example: if a cardholder loses his Peony Credit Card, he/she should immediately report the loss through electronic banking channels such as telephone banking, online banking and mobile banking of China Industrial and Commercial Bank of China or go to the business outlets of the card issuer (electronic cash is not allowed to report the loss), and the loss will take effect once the loss reporting procedures are completed. The cardholder shall not be responsible for the transactions (except electronic cash transactions) of his Peony Credit Card after the loss report takes effect, unless the cardholder commits fraud, colludes with others to defraud or commits other dishonest acts. The losses caused by Peony Credit Card before the loss report takes effect shall be borne by the cardholder, unless the card issuer is at fault as stipulated by laws and regulations or otherwise agreed with the cardholder. If you need to reissue a new card after reporting the loss, you can go through the formalities in accordance with the regulations.

The card issuer sets the validity period for the Peony Credit Card. If the cardholder needs to continue to use it after the expiration, he should go through the formalities of replacing the card. For peony credit cards that are not activated within the validity period, the card issuer may not provide card replacement service at maturity. The expired Peony Credit Card can't be used by the cardholder before going through the relevant procedures in accordance with the regulations of the card issuer (except income). If the cardholder fails to go through the formalities of replacing the new card in time, the Peony Credit Card can't be used normally, and the losses arising therefrom shall be borne by the cardholder. The Articles of Association, the employment contract and other business provisions shall remain valid for the expired Peony Credit Card, and the card issuer shall continue to reserve the rights of management and recourse for the expired Peony Credit Card. If the card cannot be replaced due to the termination of cooperation between the card issuer and the cooperative unit, credit card organization or company, the card issuer may issue other cards with the same credit rating. If the cardholder fails to renew the card or stops using the Peony Credit Card midway, he still has to pay off the debts owed by the card.
