1886 (Meiji 19) - The first generation Kosuge Tanji opened the Iseya Danji Wufu store in Kanda Hatagocho (now in front of Kanda Akihabara Station outside Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).
1923 (Taisho 12th year) - The Great Kanto Earthquake occurred. The Kanda store burned down.
April 1924 (Taisho 13th year) - Kanda store was rebuilt. The original sales system was changed to a display sales method. It will later be changed to a department store format.
1930 (Showa 5) - Isetan Co., Ltd. is established. The new store was decided to open in Shinjuku.
1933 (Showa 8) - Shinjuku main store opened. At that time there was an ice rink attached.
1945 (Showa 20) - The third floor and above of the Shinjuku store were taken over by the garrison.
1953 (Showa 28) - The entire museum was closed.
1968 (Showa 43) - "Otoko Shinkan" opened.

1975 (Showa 50) - The "isetan" trademark in lowercase letters starts to be used.
1981 (Showa 56) - Urawa store opened
1984 (Showa 59) - Niigata Isetan store opened

1987 (Showa 62) - Introduction of Japan’s credit card "Isetan i card"
March 1989 (Heisei 1) - Various business support from Barneys in the United States. (Dissolved in 2006)
1990 (Heisei 2) - JR West Isetan is established (a merged company of JR West), and the Sagami Hara store is opened
1996 (Heisei 8) ) July - Joined the business support of Hankyu Department Store. Fuzhong store opened.
September 1997 (Heisei 9) - JR Kyoto Isetan opened
2003 (Heisei 15) - Meitetsu Department Store? Izutsuya support? Business support. "Men's New Hall" was renamed "Mens Hall" (gentleman's hall).
February 2004 (Heisei 16) - Kokura Isetan opened, and Kyushu entered and exited for the first time.
2005 (2005) - Iwataya Connected Sub-Club was incorporated, and Marui Imai supported and supported the business.
2006 (2006) - Isetan’s 120th anniversary. Store decoration for the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Urawa store.
On April 1, 2008 (Heisei 20), a new company, Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings, was established. One share of Isetan was exchanged for one share of Mitsukoshi Isetan Holdings; one share of Mitsukoshi was exchanged for three shares of Isetan Mitsukoshi. Setan Holdings, and made Mitsukoshi and Isetan wholly-owned subsidiaries of Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings. Kokura Isetan, a joint venture with Izutsuya, closed its store and transferred all its shares to Izutsuya. Isetan Department Store withdrew from Kitakyushu and opened a new store at the original location of Izutsuya COLET on April 1.
March 2009 (Heisei 21) - It was announced that a new store would be opened in the JR Osaka Station building, called "JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan"
In 2010 (Heisei March 14, 2022 - Kichijoji store closed.
