MasterCard, an international organization, established an internationally accepted credit card system from the late 1950s to the early 1960s, and immediately became popular all over the world. 1966 established the organization of interbank associations. 1969 the bank card association purchased the patent right of MasterCharge, and unified the name and style of the credit card of the issuing bank. In the following ten years, MasterCharge's original name was changed to MasterCard. MasterCard International is a non-profit association, including financial institutions all over the world. Its members include commercial banks, savings and loan associations and credit cooperatives. Its basic goal remains unchanged: to communicate the information exchange of bank cards of domestic and foreign members, and to facilitate card issuers, regardless of their size, to enter the bank card and traveler's checks market and seek development.
