Notes on foreign consumer credit cards:
1. Before leaving the country, please call the bank where you issued the card to check your credit limit. Many banks can temporarily increase your credit limit.
2. Some bank credit card holders must first activate the verification service or overseas card-less payment function before making online purchases overseas.
3. Since overseas consumption is based on signature, customers should also pay attention to the safety of the card, do not let the card out of their sight when paying, and carefully check the amount and currency on the purchase order.
4. Overseas, only places with the "UnionPay" logo can accept "UnionPay" cards. There is no limit on the amount of consumption with UnionPay cards at overseas merchants, but cash withdrawals from ATM machines cannot exceed the equivalent of RMB 5,000 in local currency per card per day.
5. Be sure to keep overseas consumption documents.
6. If your credit card is lost or abnormal consumption occurs, call the bank promptly to report the loss or make inquiries.
7. Repayment after spending foreign currency with a credit card can generally be done by purchasing foreign exchange in RMB.
