What exactly should I bring with me to study in Malaysia? Be specific and comprehensive~~~

The following is the original post address of the log I posted before. I will not post the address in my QQ space to avoid being reported. All are based on personal experience. If you have any questions, you can ask me again---- --

Recently, a lot of friends have been asking about what I need to bring to Malaysia, etc., so I just wrote a post

Although I have only been in Malaysia for only half a year, I am a complete newcomer

8 I have experienced a lot in life in the past six months

It’s not that Malaysian things are not good, it’s that we have been accustomed to Chinese things since we were young

So what should we study in Malaysia from China? I have some understanding of what I need to bring and what I don’t need to bring

This post should be useful for friends who are coming here but haven’t yet

I hope it helps

If you come here for the first time, you will definitely want to bring a lot of things

It is very easy to be overweight

So I need to get to know you first What is the free checked weight and carry-on weight of the airline you bought the ticket from

I know that China Southern Airlines can carry 30KG free checked luggage and 15KG carry-on luggage

(We are relatively lucky) When I came here for the first time, I was overweight with my carry-on baggage but I didn’t report it and was not fined. Our classmates in the previous batch were fined badly)

AirAsia carries 15KG of checked luggage for free and 45KG of carry-on luggage

We usually fly with these two airlines. If your ticket is with another airline, be sure to ask clearly about the weight limits of these two airlines to avoid being fined for being overweight

After knowing the weight, how to pack it The problem with checked luggage: I don’t recommend large suitcases. The suitcase alone is very heavy. It can’t hold many things and it is overweight. There is a kind of luggage bag that is big enough to hold 2 sets of quilts. But it is not a suitcase but has wheels under the bag to pull it. You can go and see if you can buy this kind of bag. I think it is easier to use than a large suitcase and can be packed without being too heavy. I use this kind of bag from Yingbao (the one given by my uncle must be genuine, I don’t know). The sides are mainly for large items, such as towels, quilts, etc., as well as items that cannot be carried with you, such as shampoo, Swiss knives, etc. Be careful not to be overweight! If you are overweight, it is not worth it to calculate the price per kilogram.

Carry-on: If you have a small suitcase that you can take on the plane and there are still things that cannot fit in, prepare a small suitcase that is the same size as yours. When pulling up the trolley, you can put it on it so that you can carry two bags with one hand and use the other hand to drag your big luggage bag. It is recommended that you carry all your books, clothes, and laptops with you because of their heavy weight. Generally speaking, it is larger than the free shipping. After talking about how to pack it, it’s just a question of what to pack

Before I left, I searched a lot on the Internet, but after I came here I found that it was very impractical. In fact, I brought a lot of things that I didn’t need to bring. A bunch of them

The following recommendations are my personal opinions and I hope everyone can agree with them

Bedding:

For those who come to study, please first ask what the school dormitories will provide. For example, our school has pillows. Even if the school does not provide them, you can buy them. They are very expensive. There is no need to bring them. There are people who recognize pillows and will bring their own pillows. It is up to everyone to think about it~ Just a towel and a quilt are enough to cover the bed. You don’t have to worry about changing clothes here. Wash them in the morning and they will be dry within a few hours. If you are more afraid of the cold, you can bring a cool quilt instead because the air conditioner here is turned on very low and is often only about 16 degrees. I caught a lot of colds from the cold when I first arrived. And quilts are super expensive to buy here! I plan to go back to China this summer to bring cool clothes with me. It’s cold. . .

Other small things such as pillow covers (maximum 2) towels (4.5 for washing your face, wiping your feet, wiping the table, etc.)

Clothes and shoes: You don’t need to bring autumn and winter clothes. This is nonsense. When you return to your country during the winter vacation, you can go to the airport and ask the person who picks you up to bring you to change clothes. There is no need to bring more clothes because clothes are heavy and are like cosmetics. There are many good brands of clothes here and they are cheaper than in China, so I came here. If you are afraid of the cold, you can bring a long-sleeved jacket. Classrooms generally have air conditioning and the cold wind blows at 16 degrees. It’s freezing cold. For formal wear, you can bring one set. Girls need to wear condoms when giving lectures. Cheongsams are also very fashionable when worn on holidays. They are also sold here, but they are not as good as the ones made in China. As for shoes, there is no slippers here and they are not allowed to enter serious occasions. Anyway, you can go to class with slippers, so for shoes, sports shoes You can bring sneakers, leather shoes, sandals and slippers over 8. My suggestion is that you can come here to buy sneakers, sneakers and slippers for bedroom use. The former is the same as cosmetics and clothes. The latter is not expensive, but! Leather shoes, sandals, leather shoes, etc. bought in China, don’t be too heavy. These shoes here are super expensive! It feels like the shoes from the new center (not even as good-looking as the shoes from the new center, more like the ones from the lotus pond) were sold at N times the price. They are expensive, not good-looking, of good quality, not easy to break, and easy to hit your feet. By the way, don’t forget to match them again. A few pairs of socks, it’s not heavy and doesn’t take up much space. Toiletries: You can bring a few toothbrushes, but it’s not heavy anyway. But if you buy expensive toothpaste here, you don’t need to bring it. Many of the most commonly used ones here are Afro and Colgate for hair washing. These things are very heavy and common brands such as Lux, Rejoice, etc. are sold here. Unless you like a certain domestic brand very much and it is absolutely necessary, you can consider bringing a bottle (I really like the domestic bee flower conditioner, so I brought a big bottle with me that I haven’t used up for half a year~) I don’t even need to bring makeup and skin care products. There are all good brands here and they are cheaper than in China (the tariff is lower than in China). 8 But if you are very attached to a certain domestic brand, you can do it. I brought the soap Diao brand transparent soap to me now for 10 yuan each. I bought it. I really need it. The soap here is not very good and the washing powder does not need to be brought unless you are obsessed with which brand.

Electrical appliances: before I saw on the Internet that you must bring chargers and rechargeable batteries, but I was deceived and brought a bunch of useless T-T laptops sold in stores. Some of them were brought from China, but some were not. I might consider bringing them here. Buy

8. There is no system software in simplified Chinese here, only in traditional Chinese and English (we will not consider Malay)

So you can bring a simplified installation disk

They are sold in Computer City for 3 yuan

After the system is installed, go to Thunder to download and install. You must bring a mobile hard drive. It is very useful. Many of our classmates have been considering it recently. Bianbuy8 is more expensive than buying computer accessories from China. I highly recommend buying them from China and bringing them over!

You must know that 9 out of 10 of these things in the world are MADE IN CHINA

This is often the case. The same things have the same price, but one is in RMB and the other is in Malaysia. This way the currency is more than twice as expensive

For example, the rubber pad on my mouse pad is sold in Disney China for 10 yuan in RMB and in Malaysia. I saw it sold for 10 yuan in Malaysian ringgit (around RMB 24)

Headphones, cameras, mouses, mouse pads, game controllers, USB one-to-n converters, keyboards (it’s better to use an external keyboard on your laptop), card readers... whatever you need, it’s best to buy them from China. Electronic dictionaries are super useful things. I prefer BBK's series Noah's Boat, which is also good. Wenquxing Yingjing is old and not very good anymore. I feel that it is no problem to use a Chinese mobile phone. If you want to consider changing your mobile phone, then there are two situations. If you are If you are used to using high-end phones, it is cheaper to buy them here. If you are used to using low-end phones, it is cheaper to buy them from China. The plugs here are different from those in China, so if you have Chinese appliances (such as mobile phones, digital cameras)

Charger) you need to convert the plug to use

You can buy it in China or over here

8. However, if there are many electrical appliances in China (count mobile phone electronic dictionary charger digital camera charger MP3 charger, etc.)

It will be more convenient to bring a Chinese wiring board. Medicines:

You can prepare some common medicines such as analgesic, anti-inflammatory, cough and cold, etc.

Especially for Western medicine, it is very likely that you will not be able to find the medicine you are used to when you come here. For example, if you take a pin for growing wisdom teeth and add spiramycin by mistake, I can’t find a place to buy T-T. Here they all have direct English names. . .

Traditional Chinese medicines and proprietary Chinese medicines are also sold here. But the Chinese medicinal materials I saw are not as good as those from China (well, maybe it’s because I have been staying in the best pharmacy in Chengdu since I was a child. You have a higher vision) Food:

Our school has a kitchen where we can cook our own meals, so seasonings and the like are super needed

We often ask people to help bring: (because I’m from Sichuan, so most of them are things that are needed for Sichuan cuisine. I’m not sure about them from other places.)

Hot pot base with bean paste and chicken essence with peppercorns

I have seen black bean sauce in the supermarket recently. Sells

You can bring some instant noodles. The instant noodles here are influenced by Islam (for halal, pork and lard are not allowed). They don’t have as many flavors as in China and you may not be used to them.

The rest is up to you. I brought a lot of YOYO soaked chicken feet, Bangbangwa beef, and rice to finish the meal. . . . Other daily necessities: It is best to bring one chopstick. The ones sold here are sold in sets. It is not necessary. It is recommended to have a Swiss Army knife. It is convenient and easy to use. It can be used for cutting fruits, opening cans, etc.~~ Pay special attention to pens. If the appearance of the pen is good-looking, it is best for girls to bring pens from China. The gel pens here only have the standard ones and are not very good-looking. T-T books are super. Don’t bring too many things. It’s really not possible to download the electronic version online. Mobile phone, electronic You can now read e-books on dictionaries and computers, so why not come here and buy toilet paper, which sells Chinese books. The quality of the paper here is not very good, and the good quality will be very expensive. If you have requirements for the quality of the paper, it is best to bring your own. For example, if my boyfriend’s box contains a pile of girls’ sanitary napkins that are all in harmony with each other, I can see Shujie and Gao (it’s been so long since I’ve been exposed to Chinese for this) that I forgot how to say it in Chinese.

If you are more accustomed to using other brands, it is best to bring them. Anyway, I use belts, especially panty liners. It is best to bring more contraceptives (I have thought of this). TT is common here. It’s because Durex is not used to taking the contraceptive pills by yourself as opposed to Jasper. The contraceptive pill here needs a doctor’s certificate before you can prescribe it and take it yourself

The last and most important thing is one word – money!

Although there seems to be a clear regulation on how much RMB cash you are allowed to take out of the country

8 and you don’t know how to open the box to carefully check how much you have brought

My suggestion Be sure to bring enough! I don’t care about the regulations

Anyway, the first time I came here I brought more money than the regulations

Because I had to pay tuition when I first arrived. It was tens of thousands of dollars. If I had brought it according to the regulations, I would have paid the tuition. You have no money

According to our experience, if your family wants to send you money after you come here, you have to apply for a bank card here first. But to apply for a bank card, you need a student visa and school certificate

The visa you get when you come here is actually just a tourist visa and a student visa. You have to apply for it after you come over

The Malay government is not very efficient, so it will take at least 1 to 3 weeks to apply. Bank card

It would be troublesome if you ran out of money during this period

And there are a lot of things you need to buy when you first arrive, so you must bring enough money

p>

Put some in the corner of the checked bag into several parts, put some in your carry-on bag and some on your body

Just bring RMB and it's very convenient to change money here. That's about it. . .

I will add more if I think of it again. . . .
