How to waive the annual fee for credit cards?
There are three main ways to waive the annual fee for credit cards:

1. Policy of exempting the annual fee for the first year:

Generally, the annual fee for credit cards is exempted in the first year. Moreover, if the number of swipes reaches a certain standard, you can avoid paying the next year's fee. However, some banks are exceptions. For example, ICBC does not charge an annual fee for its credit card in the first year, and only needs to swipe the card for 5 times or spend more than 5, yuan to get rid of the annual fee for that year. However, the annual fee of CITIC Bank's credit card is free in the first year, and it must be spent within the first month after the credit card is issued.

2. Annual fee exemption policy for the following year:

It is stipulated by China Everbright Bank and China Construction Bank that the annual fee for the following year can be exempted if the credit card is swiped three times in a year, and the annual fee exemption standard set by most banks such as Agricultural Bank, Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Merchants Bank and Bank of Communications is 5-6 times.

3. Effective card swiping times:

According to the regulations of banks, the annual fee can only be exempted if a certain number of effective card swiping times are reached. This effective card swiping times refers to the cardholder swiping cards in various consumption scenarios such as shopping malls, restaurants and mobile apps, and online consumption can also be included.

Credit cards basically have an annual fee. At the same time, many credit cards, such as general cards and gold cards, have introduced a conditional annual fee-free policy. Generally, the annual fee can be waived after swiping the card for six times or swiping a certain amount.
