According to regulations, college students cannot apply for credit cards. In May 2009, the China Banking Regulatory Commission suspended the credit card business of various banks for college students.

Before this, many schools uniformly applied for credit cards for college students (to help banks increase sales), and many college students did not know enough about credit cards. After using credit cards, they ignored the need to repay on time, resulting in overdue repayments or even no payments. Repayment once caused a huge number of credit black accounts and bank bad debts. Moreover, college students do not have stable income, so they are really not suitable for applying for credit cards.
